We are looking for volunteers / activity leaders / event planners for Adobofest 2009, our 2^nd annual Filipino-American picnic / Adobo cook-off , that will be held at Labagh Woods, Grove #4, on Sunday, September 13^th, 11 AM – 4 PM.

Last year we had 200+ attendees. We expect many more this year. Your involvement will not only enable the community to enjoy this wonderful gathering, but it is also a great way to leverage your talents and skills for a unique, fun, culture-building cause, while connecting and networking with like-minded individuals.

We have a limited budget for Adobofest, so we need your creative ideas. We will need to pursue fund donations from attendees and contributions from community organizations and businesses. Raised funds support our Annual Chicago Filipino-American Film Festival, Annual Senior Gift Basket Drive, Annual Navy Pier Passport Series expo and our Charity partners Believe International (www.believeinternational.org) and the Filipino American Community Health Initiative of Chicago (FACHIC).
